Thank you so much for taking hours of your life to make me a gift. It's pretty amazing of you and I deeply appreciate it.
As a basic guideline, the more you focus on the women in the sources I've requested, the happier I'll be. What draws me to stories are women interacting with each other, so a vid focused on women interacting with each other will make me incredibly happy. I'm not fussy about music, so choose whatever makes your heart content.

FUCK IT. Babylon 5 deserves vids and I will be happy to receive any B5 vid. Do you want to do your epic character study of Londo Mollari? Go for it. John x Delenn, Susan x Talia, Londo x G’Kar, Shadows x Chaos, Vorlons x Blowing up Planets — any romance you want. I’d love a vid about Delenn, especially one that looks at how she’s probably the most powerful person on the station. Not only was she Grey Council but she also was able to command her people to provide her a fleet of ships and create a group of spy/soldiers answerable only to her (and her boyfriend/husband, although she still outranks him.) I’d also really love a vid about Susan Ivanova and for all her prickliness, she is probably one the most big-hearted people on the show. And, of course, she’s God. I’d also love a vid that explores Sheridan and Ivanova’s friendship. I’d also love a vid about Elizabeth Lochley and her dealing with all these crazy people who formed this bond that she’s trying work with. LYTA BLOWING SHIT UP. VALEN. This movie is a gorgeously shot critique of Iranian class structure and society during the shah’s reign. It was banned by the shah and thought lost during the Islamic Revolution. However, found and restored. It’s the first movie Shohreh Aghdashloo performed in and:
So while the source is not easy to find, here’s a a link that would probably be helpful. A vid with this source would be amazing, but I would especially love anything that focuses on Shohreh Aghdashloo’s character.

THE WOMEN. I LOVE THE WOMEN. A vid looking at all of them would be amazing. MARGO MADISON. I love her. I love her drive, her ambition, her brain, her refusal to conform to what society wants her to do. I love her relationship with Aleida and her antagonistic relationship with Molly Cobb (and really they should just kiss about it). Margo and Sergei tore my heart out and stomped on it and then shattered it unto a million pieces so if you did a vid about them, I would probably love you forever. (I pretty forcefully reject the Margo = von Braun comparison, so that comparison would be unwelcome.) I LOVE MOLLY COBB and her swagger and being the most self-sacrificing selfish asshole ever. DANIELLE POOLE who moved from being a meme for what you shouldn’t do in space (because she was covering some white dude’s ass) to the FIRST WOMAN ON MARS. ELLEN WILSON and all her contradictions! KAREN BALDWIN and her GROWTH. ALEIDA ROSALES, her family, her relationship with Margo, all her rough edges. KELLY BALDWIN and her search for her own identity all while searching for life in space. SALLY RIDE. I’m also hoping we get some amazing Soviet women in season 4 and would love vids about them. I’d also love vids looking at the big themes of the show - space exploration (it’s SUCH a pretty show), Cold War politics, the alternate history and I don’t know how you’d do it, but if you could do a Soviet rebuttal, like Mikhail Vasiliev’s big American hero speech, that would be amazing.
I’ll be watching season 4 as it airs, so all episodes are fair game.
Las Vegas Aces
I LOVE THEM. They play beautiful basketball and are goofy. To address the horse in the room, the front office screwed over/discriminated against one of my favorite players and I hate them for that, but I still love all the players. A’JA WILSON AND CANDACE PARKER PLAYED BASKETBALL TOGETHER AND IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. Chelsea Gray is a magician. Kelsey Plum is a chihuahua. Jackie Young started talking shit and it was amazing. (She also played really well.) Kiah Stokes was a defensive, blocking, rebounding machine, and sometimes scored upwards of almost double figures. Alysha was the 6th person of the year.
Women Hooping is a great source for gameplay. The Aces social media is amazing.
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart
This is a brutal look at the legacy that gendered/domestic/state violence leaves upon a family. Sigourney Weaver plays a lesbian who runs a non-conventional shelter for domestic abuse victims. But her own pain inflicts pain on her own family. The Australian landscape is almost its own character. Frankie Adams has blue hair. It looks at the legacy of Australia’s policies toward its own indigenous people and the legacy of violence that creates. It’s a gorgeous, brutal show with trigger warnings for domestic violence, rape, and cultural genocide. A vid that looked at how these women survive and grow despite the violence that surrounds them would be amazing.
Run Sweetheart Run (2020)
Does a movie have to be good? Can it not be Ella Balinska running from the personification of the patriarchy for a night? Throw in Shohreh Aghdashloo and I will love the vid you make.
وجدة | Wadjda (2012) [SAFETY]
A great film about a girl in Riyadh and her quest to buy herself a bicycle. When her other plans fail, she enters a Quran recital competition. It’s a great look at how hard it can be to defy society’s expectations of you, but it also captures the freedom a bike gives you as a kid. I also really love the relationship between Wadjda and her mother.
Widows (2018)
It’s a heist movie starring Viola Davis and the dog lives so I will love whatever you create.
